Depending on the complexity of the work the more time we reccomend you book. The extra time allows the tutor to ensure that the student not only understands the concept but that the also develop memory structures by which to permanently retain it.

For high school students an hour is definitely needed to settle into the lesson, review work and learn new content. Particularly as a student progresses through the years there is such a diversity in the material being convered that a tutor simply needs more time to address it all.
1/2 Hour

We reccomend a half hour session for younger students, taking into consideration a shorter attention span. With a reduced time student-to-tutor the focus is far more on firming up ideas being currently focused on in class.
Booking a Tutor
Our pricing is significantly lower than offer tutoring services that other one-on-one tutoring. The high cost of the first half hour occurs because of the travelling costs involved for our tutors. For this price you are also paying for all the preparation that goes into each tutoring session. Tutors need to prepare for the lesson, decide upon work to be set and mark any work previously assigned. Arrangements can be made for you to meet the tutor at a mutual locations and fees can be compensated accordingly.
