Why Odylism?

What does Odylism mean?

 

Odylism Tutoring is loosely based on Organisational Development Theory (OD) which is a field of research, theory, and practice dedicated to expanding the knowledge and effectiveness of people to successfully change and perform.

 

OD is a process of continuous diagnosis, action planning, implementation and evaluation, with the goal of transferring knowledge and skills to people to improve their capacity for solving problems and managing future change.

 

How does this apply to our tutoring?

 

Every time we tutor a child the intention is to implement tools for lasting change. The strategies we develop in children can extend past educational activities to become attitudes for life.  Our influence endeavours to change how children approach education and in turn increase their academic performance. How long does this take? Sadly it's a science that is so specific to each student that a timeframe is hard to establish. However if you're committed to the process and your child is committed to the process there will be a change!
